We recommend rabbits have wellness exams at least once a year to assess their overall health.
Rabbits are great companions with lots of energy and low maintenance. When they do run into medical trouble, our veterinarians are well equipped to treat them. We welcome rabbits of all ages, from newborns to seniors. We’re able to accommodate them through surgeries, diagnostic testing and dental care. We suggest your rabbit visit our hospital for an annual veterinary exam (once a year). These are routine examinations to monitor their weight, fur, skin and teeth. We’ll also do a blood test to check for any underlying medical issues or nutritional concerns.
We offer veterinary exams and spay and neuter surgery for rabbits. If your bunny requires more invasive surgeries, we will refer you to a specialist who can accommodate your pet’s medical concerns.
Rabbits are social animals and would do well with a companion. However, just because they’re living without a furry friend doesn’t mean they should avoid getting spayed or neutered. Rabbits that do not have this procedure are vulnerable to diseases that form in their reproductive organs. They will also display behavioural issues such as lunging and boxing. Getting your pet spayed or neutered ensures they live a longer disease-free life and that their overall mood is more pleasant.
